Through October to November in 2016, We held the serial event:
“Open the future of VR!” UnlimitedHand Ideathon.
“Open the future of VR!” UnlimitedHand Studying Unity for Hackathon.
“Open the future of VR!” UnlimitedHand Hackathon.

“Open the future of VR!” UnlimitedHand Ideathon.
In this event, participants shared their ideas for making prototype of VR game that has somatosensory(one of the type of haptic) by using UnlimitedHand.
Our founder Emi Tamaki explained about the theme of this serial event and the function of UnlimitedHand.
Participants made groups and introduce themselves,
And shared the experience about somatosensory.
Then, people expanded the keyword for ideas of the VR game contents with Mandal-art.
They shared the keywords and discussed it.
And they wrote down the Ideas of VR games that they gained during the discussion.
They voted to the ideas that they wished to play.
The Ideas that got many vote have been given the honorable certificates.
The participants who shared popular ideas explained about their ideas.
Participants shared a lot of ideas for haptic VR games in this event.
The ideas were based on the familiar feeling and also the unrealistic feeling like “seppuku”.
Very extensive, and very inspiring.

“Open the future of VR!” UnlimitedHand Studying Unity for Hackathon.
Ahead of Hackathon, we held the studying event of Unity and UnlimitedHand.
For the studying of Unity, the instructor from Unity Japan teached participants How to use Unity and Unity Assets.
Afterwords, H2L explained about UnlimitedHand.

“Open the future of VR!” UnlimitedHand Hackathon.
Finally, we started to make VR games with UnlimitedHand!
Each groups decided the ideas for VR game prototype, and assigned their roles.
Participants from this event adopted the ideas wrote in UnlimitedHand Ideathon to their ideas.

Each contents were very unique.
This is the VR game to fling out a building as an giant.
The team made weight of the building with UnlimitedHand and used the sensor in UnlimitedHand to through the building.
To predict the content of the game with this picture, it seems like that this is the VR game of milking caw and we can feel it by our hand with UnlimitedHand.
But actually we ARE the caw.
Buy putting UnlimitedHand on the stomach, they were tried to make the feeling to be squeezed by someone.
He was making the art content on his own.
Tried to link music and vision by using sensor in UnlimitedHand.
This team made the VR game that a player can make a fire bowl and attach the dolls, but afterwords the player and the doll shake their hands for reconciliation.

After the presentations, we played each games and voted to the most favorite game!
The second place of the award is to…
The VR game “In fact I don’t hate you” by the Team “The darkness of modern society” !
They handed on the game from the hackathon but the quality of the game was very impressive.
The fire bowl is the point of fun.
And the First prize sent to…
The VR game “milking VR1” by the team “milking”!
Being a caw was very unpredictable and unique idea for VR game.
The expectation for productization rose up very much!
This was a very first Hackathon of UnlimitedHand and the term was really short, but perticipants shared great ideas for opening the future of VR, and made very beautiful prototype of VR games.
Haptic feeling is really new element to get the VR world lively, so we will hold this kind of event as we get chances.
We hope that UnlimitedHand gives you something new on your mind.
